BENNY DORO, Chairman of the Board
Mr. Doro began his Wall Street career more than two decades ago taking his first company public in 1998. Mr. Doro has also worked on numerous venture capital projects, early stage financing, and entertainment media management and since 2002, has served as a Partner for a private investment banking firm.
Mr. Doro was also President and Co-Founder of Universal Vision Group, a leading e-commerce software provider of multi-currency prepaid cards in the U.S. and Eastern Europe.
Mr. Doro currently serves on the Board of Directors at Pyramid Media, Inc. (Pyramid Records), an entertainment company with multiple artists that provides major distribution through INgrooves Fontana and Universal Music Group Distribution, the largest distributor of music in the world.
In 1995, Benny founded NextLevel Productions Inc., a multi-media marketing and advertising company. As CEO of the company, he worked with famous clients and corporations negotiating content deals and built the websites for Van Halen, U2, KISS, Madonna, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, and Sony Fanfire. In 2001, NextLevel merged with Wiremix Media Inc., to become the largest digital advertising company in the online gaming industry with over 65 corporate clients. In 2002, Mr. Doro negotiated the sale of NextLevel to a publicly traded company.
Mr. Doro’s career also included lead guitar in Unchained, a Rock and Roll band, that was managed by Paul Stanley from KISS. The band toured for more than a decade performing to audiences worldwide. Benny resides in Vancouver, BC and is Managing Partner of SEVENTEEN88 Restaurant in Vancouver’s Historic China district.
ANN LADEMANN, Executive Director
Volunteering has always been a huge part of Ann Lademann’s life. Prior to joining Kids In Seats, Ann worked with “Mothers of Supertwins” where her role as Outreach Coordinator for “Adopt a Family Holiday,” provided joyous and memorable holidays for families in need for almost a decade. In addition, Ann worked with “Interfaith Nutrition Network” as Outreach Coordinator from 1995-1998.
Ann’s extensive volunteer work with at-risk children led to her appointment as Founder and Executive Director of MVK (Most Valuable Kids) in 2013, where she was responsible for distributing more than 12,500 tickets for sporting and cultural events to at-risk children associated with 15 community-based agencies and schools in the Charlotte, NC area.
Ann lives in Charlotte, NC with her husband, Roger, and their five children. Ann’s early career was with a maritime law firm where she spent 15 years as a legal secretary.
Ann’s desire and passion to reach more at-risk children led her to form Kids In Seats in March 2017. Kids In Seats provides an opportunity for Ann and her team to embrace their love of sports and theater while providing underserved children with truly life-changing experiences.
Rae Anne McLaughlin, Vice President- Chief Operations Officer
Rae Anne has a long history working with charities and more than a decade of experience working with teams, ticket holders, donors, and recipient organizations. Rae Anne has been responsible for placing over 109,000 tickets with a face value of over ten million dollars to deserving organizations in the greater New York area. As a longtime advocate for displaced youth, she spent twenty years developing and implementing youth residential programs serving the New York State Runaway and Homeless Division, Office of Mental Health, and Nassau County Foster Care. She brings a deep understanding of the importance of structuring leisure time for at-risk and under-served youth as a means of ensuring a successful transition into adulthood. For more than a decade, Rae Anne served on various committees where she worked with government agencies advocating for change in educational laws and standards for underprivileged and under-served youth where her extensive knowledge of the McKinney Vento Act has yielded countless successes in working with government agencies to improve laws protecting homeless and displaced youth.
Rae Anne holds a B.S. in Social Work with a concentration in Communications from Adelphi University and is a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York state. She calls Long Island, NY her home where she resides with her two children.
Greg is Chief Commercial Officer & VP of Sports at Ticketmaster. Known as a dynamic leader with extensive experience in managing robust and diverse staffs that have consistently delivered unprecedented results. Highly regarded marketing and sales executive/entrepreneur with significant high-level sports, entertainment, and agency experience. Recognized industry leader in branding and consulting, helping reposition hundreds of professional sports teams and leagues, college athletic programs, and international sports properties – paving the way for an industry-wide paradigm shift. Regarded as marketing expert with proven track record in areas of advertising; digital, social media; mobile marketing; public relations; consumer research; as well as sponsor consulting and activation. Considered an industry-leading business development and revenue generation specialist with wide-ranging experience and success in areas of client acquisition, sponsorship sales, naming rights sales, broadcast rights, ticket sales, suite sales, and licensing/merchandising – consistently helping properties achieve remarkable growth.
As Senior Vice President of Ticket Operations at BSE Global, Paul Kavanaugh oversees Ticket Analytics and Operations for all BSE Global properties. This includes Barclays Center, NYCB LIVE’s Nassau Coliseum, Brooklyn Nets, Long Island Nets and the New York Islanders.
Paul Kavanaugh brings over 10 years of experience in event ticketing and strategy. His previous experience includes time with AEG at the XL Center in Hartford, CT and with Kraft Sports & Entertainment in Foxboro, MA. Paul earned his M.B.A from the University of Connecticut and a B.S. in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts.
Amanda Verhoff has worked for Association of Luxury Suite Directors (ALSD) for 12 years, and is currently serving as President and Executive Director, planning and executing the annual conference and tradeshow held each year in a premier city with the best sports venues. Amanda and team handle site visits, contracts, facility tour set up, sponsorships and tradeshow, logistics, and educational programming related to the conference. Amanda has also played a role in growth segments of the ALSD such as the Sports Sales Training Forum the first ALSD International Forum, The Design & Building Forum Conference, and editorial site visits. Stewardship and member relationships are the core of excitement for Amanda, who prides herself on visiting most professional and many college and entertainment venues in this country. Amanda earned a sport management degree and communications masters degree from the University of Dayton, and resides in Dayton, OH with her husband Steve and three kids, Beau, Vanessa, and Faye.
A veteran of the sports and entertainment hospitality industry, Jessica has built a 20+ career working with sophisticated clientele for some of the world’s largest events in venues nationwide. Managing the wants and desires of premium clients in the NFL, Jessica was unable to find a modern technology solution to streamline the premium customer relationship management experience, so she created her own: WAVEWORK. With an emphasis on driving engagement, creating greater efficiency and adding value to increase retention, Wavework enables an increasingly distinctive, highly personalized and consistent premium experience. Wavework is a compilation of Jessica’s deep understanding and true appreciation for elevating the premium customer experience, while saving time and resources to do so.
Elizabeth Alvarez, Managing Director at Wells Fargo Securities
Elizabeth Alvarez is a Managing Director on the Equity Capital Markets Desk at Wells Fargo Securities based in New York.
Elizabeth joined Wells Fargo in 2005 as a Director in Equity Syndicate. She is the Administrator/Secretary for the Equity, Convertible, and Closed-End Fund Commitment Committees and the COO for the Equity Capital Markets group. Elizabeth is also responsible for the recruiting, training, staffing, and overall development of the analysts and associates in the group.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Elizabeth was a Director at Credit Suisse on the Equity Syndicate desk for five years, and prior to that, she was with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette for 15 years on the Equity Capital Markets desk.
Elizabeth earned a B.A. in business management from Pace University.
Dawn Farrell, Director at B.Riley FBR
Ms. Farrell joined B.Riley FBR in 2005 and is currently a Director in Capital Markets. She is responsible for execution and logistics and works on the overall development of the firm. Dawn has been twice awarded FBR’s Pegasus Playmaker Award for contributing to the firm’s success by demonstrating consistent performance, acting with integrity, demonstrating initiative, and customer satisfaction. Dawn earned a B.A. in Administration from Strayer University in 2011.
Dawn currently serves on the Board of the Women’s Syndicate Association and BORROMEO Housing, Inc. Other volunteer activities include Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Ms. Farrell works and resides in Arlington, VA.
Dr Scott Silverman, Board Member
Dr.Scott Silverman is an experienced educator and therapist. He received his Doctorate Degree in Education from Boston University with a focus on adolescent development and family issues.
Currently, Dr. Silverman is an Assistant Principal, as well as a private therapist. He uses both traditional therapy and eastern relaxation techniques to treat stressed out teens and adults, as well as amateur and professional athletes.
Specializations include relaxation skills, anxiety reduction, treating depression, anger management, family conflicts, school related issues, relationship issues, grieving, sport psychology and anything else that effects the mental well being of the adult and adolescent. Dr. Silverman consistently been involved with organizations that generously donate tickets and experiences to students that benefit socially and emotionally.
Kathleen Wilson, Board Member
Kathleen’s career spanned over 3 decades on Wall Street where she served as a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc., and most recently, as a Senior Managing Director, Head of Corporate Finance at Legend Securities, Inc. Ms. Wilson joined VP Medical Billing Services, LLC in April of 2017 as a Business Coach and Executive Planner for the firm. She brings a vast diversity of experience and business sense to VP, including strategic planning, marketing and advertising, infrastructure planning, and systems and procedures.
Kathy served as a board member for Susan G. Komen Greater New York; President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Advisory Board member of the Women’s Syndicate Association; Board of Governors and Secretary of the Bond Club of New York. Ms. Wilson earned a B.S. In Economics and A.A.S in Business from CUNY and holds applicable professional licenses in Securities.
Marc Simone, Board Member
As SVP of Business Development Marc has helped develop and establish Coyote Promotions as one of the key players on the National market as full service merchandising agency specializing in Sports and Entertainment. He has been able to forge many successful long term partnership agreements with some of the most popular sports franchises in the country most notably Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, Los Angeles Football Club, Los Angeles Kings, Madison Square Garden and the New York Mets.
Vasilios Karabatsos has a 20+ year background as an entrepreneur and CPA with leadership expertise in all facets of an emerging company’s operations including business concept, fundraising, infrastructure development and general management. Since 2010, he has been a northeast based developer of utility-scale solar power plants where he has led development processes from site identification through project sale and construction. He is also actively involved in several emerging technology companies focused on solutions for the energy sector. Prior to that, he co-founded a high technology start-up company that developed, manufactured and sold patented intellectual property for semiconductor memory applications in mission critical server computing systems. His responsibilities and expertise ranged across capital raising, financial oversight, technology development, intellectual property, sales and marketing, operations, manufacturing, legal and infrastructure development. Prior to that, he spent four years at Arthur Andersen in its Economic and Financial Consulting Group. He has a B.S. in Business Administration from Boston University and was a Certified Public Accountant.
Jennifer Caruso is a Managing Director on the Equity Capital Markets Desk at RBC Capital Markets based in New York. Jen joined RBC in 2009 as a VP in Equity Syndicate. She assists in raising equity for companies via IPOs and follow-on-offerings in the Healthcare and Energy sectors. Jen is also Co-President of the Womens Syndicate Association. The organization was founded in 1950 and is dedicated to helping women form lasting ties with colleagues across the financial services industry. Prior to joining RBC, Jen was a Director at Jefferies on the Equity Syndicate desk for 3 years, and prior to that, she was at Merrill Lynch for 7 years.
